Moblog: Ruth Ballard Talks About Market Volunteers

In 2006, I introduced Moblogging to the Port Townsend Farmers Market staff. Nick Hill, Market Site Manager, produced several street posts directly from the market. Unfortunately, the free service that we used, AudioBlogger, is no longer available and all of Nicks work has been deleted.

Since January, I have been using Gabcast to post podcasts directly from the field to a varity of blogs. Below is an example of a Moblog using Gabcast at the Port Townsend Farmers Market on May 12, 2007.

Gabcast! Port Townsend Farmers Market #15

In this cell phone podcast direct from the May 12th Port Townsend Farmers Market, Ruth Ballard, Friends of the Market and Volunteer Coordinator, discusses the some of the volunteer positions currently available and what your donations are used for to help the market infrstructure. NOTE: The PT Farmers Market Phone number is 360/379-9098. Our conversation was cut short because we exceeded the time limit of the cell phone podcast service.
