The Fremont Parade and Fair
While waiting for the bus to and from the Fremont Fair, Hyun Jung Jang talks about working with me. The short clips were recorded with her digital still camera basically to show how she can produce videos on her own. Using Microsoft Movie Maker, Hyun Jung added the titles and made one movie report from two clips. All the Fremont Parade/Fair video reports that Hyun Jung is in, are available on her digital portfolio. To see video reports that she has edited, go to her YouTube Profile.
The Stranger published two of my Fremont video reports on their website this week.
Most of our video reports from the weekend will be available through my YouTube Profile.
This is an email from a mother of a Seattle teen band that we interviewed at the fair:
Dear Jack,
Thank you for taking the time to make a video of Capitol Basement with the Intern from Korea. I’m sure she’s benefited under you guidance. All members of the band were excited to be interviewed and the final cut sent to me was very well done. It truly shows the camaraderie of the group and their family-like bond that has grown since childhood. They are connected to each other through various channels and their friendship has been a strong platform for them to write and play music together. Next year they have to begin thinking about college and the band’s future is like a dark cloud hovering over their heads. They want to stay together, keep the band going but all want to continue their education. The majority of the band is quite an academic bunch.
Again, thank you for thinking of Capitol Basement and giving them the memory of a wonderful day at Fremont Fair. The Band appreciates your consideration and interest.
Best,
Margaret E.
NOTE: Before Hyun Jung and I interviewed the band members, we talked to Janet Chinn, the mother of Brian Chinn the lead guitarist.
